Warranty Parts Co-ordinator - Band J

Location: Woking, GB

Purpose of the Role:

To control and coordinate the return of Warranty parts from the McLaren Automotive dealer network around the world. To despatch to Suppliers for Quality analysis and support Supplier Recovery process.


Role Dimensions:

  • To work with the Warranty Claims team to create clear lists of parts for return for analysis.
  • To liaise with dealer network worldwide to ensure timely return of Warranty parts.
  • Coordination and control of the Warranty DHL account.
  • Financial management, business reporting and service level adherence of Warranty DHL account.
  • Maintenance of parts tracking data and generation of Logistics KPI’s.
  • Coordination with Series SQA team to ensure timely assessment of parts upon return.
  • Despatch of parts to Suppliers for Quality Analysis
  • Ownership and control of Warranty stores


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Have a flexible approach to working hours as the business demands.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of Warranty & Quality processes, i.e. environment, safety, cost, productivity.
  • Feeding back Dealer parts return performance to Regional Area Managers.
  • Support the development of a new Warranty System for use in all Dealers.
  • Take coordinate with internal vehicle owners to return replaced parts for assessment
  • Track parts movements between key process and locations.
  • Maintain and endorse McLaren values and culture(housekeeping, appearance etc).


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Good level of knowledge for Microsoft Office packages (excel, powerpoint etc.)
  • No formal qualifications are necessary, however a foundation in Logistics would be beneficial.
  • Understanding and experience in a manufacturing/process driven environment ideal.
  • Be able to demonstrate broad job knowledge of automotive processes and specific skills for the area in question.
  • Quality focussed.

  • Good communication skills in both oral and written form.
  • A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
