Vehicle Serviceability Engineer

Location: Woking, GB

As part of our Track25 business plan we will launch 18 new models or derivatives of our vehicles and look to expand our retailer network into new markets with an aim of having 100 retailers globally.  

Track 25 and McLaren Automotive’ s growing reputation is testament to our world class employees. To ensure McLaren Automotive continues to be at the forefront of the Automotive market, we are looking for a Vehicle Serviceability Engineer to join our Aftersales team.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Review design concepts for Serviceability during design reviews, project meetings and DFMEA’s. Report all issues to the Service team
  • Review and sign off Engineering changes where appropriate, correlate Engineering changes and disseminate information to the Service team
  • Benchmarking of competitor vehicles for Serviceability
  • Support of Gateway process via the correlation and supply of relevant data throughout the Aftersales Team
  • Set up and maintain maintenance schedules for future and existing models
  • Review potential requirements for special tooling and communicate to the Service team
  • Perform regular reviews with Engineering function groups to ensure Service Targets are met

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Experience in a high-quality road car environment and fully conversant with all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing including body repair
  • Understanding of dealership documentation and maintenance systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project etc.)
  • Conversant with CAD (Catia V5) an advantage
  • A suitable formal education via City & Guilds or equivalent, and an apprenticeship (extensive and suitable experience may be considered in lieu) is highly desirable
