Vehicle Distribution Administrator (Band J)

To ensure McLaren Automotive continues to be at the forefront of the Automotive market, we are looking for an Administrator to join our Vehicle Distribution team.

 

Purpose of the role:

As Vehicle Distribution Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring all paperwork and relevant documentation is ready and prepared for all our vehicles leaving the McLaren Production Centre.   

 

Principal accountabilities:

  • Accurate creation and timely submission of booking requests / instructions to the logistics network to ensure vehicles are delivered in line with the requirement
  • Creating of additional, Region specific shipment paperwork including Insurance Certificates, Packing Lists and specific customs documents for various markets
  • Supporting vehicle movements with Production and Quality, as well as the distribution chain to ensure on time, in full delivery to the global retailer network by requesting delivery slots and contacting drivers to instruct them of the next required movements  
  • Assisting with monthly freight billing reconciliations to support the monthly submission of costs to the Distribution Manager by collating all supplier paperwork and ensuring they match with the jobs completed within that month
  • Ensuring all SAP system transactions for each vehicle movement are performed in an accurate and timely manor
  • Supporting the Distribution Coordinators with required paperwork submissions and data entry tasks
  • Processing transport damage claims by updating various data for reporting to Distribution Manager
  • Tracking and tracing of finished vehicles utilising various internal and external monitoring systems to ensure accurate inventory control and vehicle status
  • Accurate archiving of all vehicle distribution documents in both soft and hard copy formats

 

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Experience in a similar administrator / planning type role is key
  • Strong Excel skills are required to support the daily activities of the role
  • IT skills, including MS Office
