A key function within the Uplift department, you will work closely with both Internal Logistics functions and Production to ensure material requirements for all vehicle builds are satisfied in a timely and accurate manner.

As Uplift Warehouse Operative, your main responsibilities will include;

Ensure all parts are picked and booked out as per the Adhoc sheet.
Send all required parts to line via the lift ensuring to notify the relevant Expeditors.
Report any shortages via E-mail to the development Material Controllers and build team leaders and update the relevant shortage spreadsheet.
Ensure any HOT PARTS are processed to line as quickly as possible.
Complete 5S’s daily for relevant warehouse responsibility.
Liaise with the development build leader to continually improve the warehouse systems and forward ideas onto team senior/line manager.
Have an understanding of policy deployment.
Adhere to the Health & Safety policy and look to improve department performance at all times.
Ensure all stillages/boxes are clean as needed.
Perform daily tasks as administered by the Team Leader.
Coordinate/ Ensure all requisitions are picked and booked for development cars
Coordinate the transport of the parts to development activities abroad when needed.
Support vehicle movements to/from external paint shop
Support vehicle cleaning before dispatch
You will be part of a team and a wide range of sequencing activities.

Principal Accountabilities:

Pick & replenishment of stock as required by production.
Continuously being aware of and pro-actively addressing potential or actual shortages.
Being aware of your responsibilities as identified within the Policy Deployment Matrix.
Close liaison with other disciplines within the logistics organisation, as well as other departments especially Warehouse, Quality and Expediter teams.
Ensuring stock accuracy is at the specified levels as agreed.
Effective communication and feedback via the communication cell process.
Ensure health and safety standards are achieved on an ongoing basis and actively promote individual responsibility for health and safety.
Review and improve the operating environment through establishing and maintaining housekeeping standards.
Ensure all direct activities are conducted to the relevant standard operating procedure and actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

Detailed working and understanding of a sequenced materials production environment.
Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, especially automotive serial production..
Numerate & literate with good communication skills.
IT literate and have good organization skills.
Experience of car detailing/cleaning
Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
