Our team 

Our agile cross functional portfolio teams work collaboratively to solve interesting and challenging problems in industries we participate in.

 

Typically, our teams comprise of Data Scientists and/or Simulation Engineers, Full Stack Software Engineers, Test Engineers, System Reliability Engineers (DevOps). And depending on the team, you may interact with the Systems Engineering community.

 

 

The role 

You will become one of our key contributors who guide and foster innovation by developing leading edge products that span various market segments including automotive, motorsport, transportation and human performance.

 

As a Software Engineer who is passionate about technology, you will use the most effective and applicable technologies to create robust and scalable software that runs in the cloud.  

You will work on a variety of challenges towards product or solution deliverables, often highly complex and based around mission critical systems that combines capabilities like real time anomaly detection, predictive maintenance and optimisation with supporting visualisation and reporting. 

  

You will help to refine and optimise our methods of data streaming, aggregation, asset management, manipulation, modelling and visualisation, through clean and consistent coding. 

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C#, Kotlin
  • Experience in Python
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
  • Experience and understanding of building products on cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure and GCP and micro services.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL.
  • Experience designing, developing and creating RESTful web services and APIs 
  • Experience with message brokers such as Kafka
  • Familiarity with front-end technology (e.g. Angular, React) 
  • Familiarity with CICD pipelines and test automation
  • Good understanding of agile or lean development practices. 
  • Ability to write and speak in English fluently.

  • Kotlin and Go.
  • Time Series databases and/or MQTT
  • Distributed computing, machine learning, data science, building data pipelines, data streaming applications and NLP

The work environment 

You will be based at our office in centre of Woking. Some travel to the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking will be required.
