The Role:

A rare opportunity has opened to join our highly successful software development team as a Senior Developer, working on transmission control systems. The successful candidate will deliver embedded control algorithms, diagnostics and calibration for our next generation of vehicles. The role brings unparalleled levels of responsibility, ownership and direct involvement with our world leading products.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Software requirements capture and detailed software design
  • Model-based, auto-coded software prototyping and production implementation
  • Verification testing in MIL, HIL, dyno environments, and in-vehicle integration
  • Support vehicle software testing and calibration
  • Support production ramp up and series development
  • Functional Safety work product tracking and external supplier management.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Model-based control software development and verification
  • Control system performance evaluation by data analysis
  • Knowledge of automotive powertrain systems.

 

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Embedded software development for powertrain control systems (engine, transmission, hybrid), preferably using Simulink
  • Automotive software standards and assessment methodologies, e.g. ISO 26262, AUTOSAR
  • Component modelling & simulation for control applications
  • Automotive diagnostic standards and testing, e.g. UDS
  • Dual clutch transmission systems expertise
  • Vehicle-based software calibration.
