Senior Software Engineer – Body & Security Software

 

As a member of the Electrical Systems team, you will be part of a core systems design & development team focused on systems for future McLaren sports cars. You will be responsible for a significant application software development on the latest McLaren EE architecture.  

 

Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in coordination, management and development of a significant application software development programme. You will manage suppliers in the development of software and assure software is developed to specification and to standard.  You will also be required to develop software features yourself using Matlab and Simulink within the McLaren DevOps.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for: Management and prioritisation of supplier resource to deliver software. Management of software quality from supplier. Perform audits of supplier software and testing. Develop application software as required by the team manager. Perform MIL & HIL testing as required. Define software specifications as required.

 

Qualifications & Skills

Higher degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience with focus on software development.

At least 5 years’ experience of software development in an automotive OEM or Tier 1.

Experience with Matlab & Simulnk for embedded software design.

Experience with UDS diagnostics and XCP calibration.

Experience with Vector automotive products (or equivalent) e.g. CANoe, CANape, CANalyser, would be advantageous. 

A valid UK driving licence.
