Senior Finance Analyst - Product Development

Track 25 and McLaren Automotive’ s growing reputation is testament to our world class employees. To ensure McLaren Automotive continues to be at the forefront of the Automotive market, we are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team.

Purpose of the role:

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will be overseeing many aspects of financial management and reporting for Product Development, who design our future luxury performance vehicles.  Initially this role will support the Sports and GT series with opportunities to get involved in other areas as the needs of the business shift.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Managing budgets for vehicle programmes and variants within the Sports and GT series
  • Supporting the approval of budgets at shareholder level and driving accountability at budget holder level
  • Challenge stakeholders to drive accountability, as well as providing them with the tools necessary to track progress against their financial targets and most importantly, allow them to keep within agreed budgets
  • Stimulate and deliver process and efficiency improvements
  • Preparation of monthly internal forecasts and quarterly forecasts for input into the wider business
  • Responsibility for accurate forecasting and reporting of all spend, including insightful comparison to previous programmes to ensure we get best value for money.
  • Control and maintain live register of risks and opportunities

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Experience in managing and developing reporting, comfortable with large volumes of data
  • Strong system skills, particularly Excel (Financial modelling, pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query, etc)
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to work, including but not limited to, identifying areas for process improvements and implementing robust solutions.
