SQA Manager - Projects

Location: Woking, GB

As part of our Track25 business plan we will launch 18 new models or derivatives of our vehicles and look to expand our retailer network into new markets with an aim of having 100 retailers globally.
Track 25 and McLaren Automotive’ s growing reputation is testament to our world class employees. To ensure McLaren Automotive continues to be at the forefront of the Automotive market, we are looking for a SQA Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the department manager you will be responsible for co-ordinating all aspect of the new model activities within the department across each of the function areas and representing the department cross functionally for new model programmes.
Principal Abilities:  

  • Working with principals and department manager establish initiatives to deliver model programmes 
  • Development and management against department top level plan  organisations.
  • Establishing budget requirements to delivery project 
  • Generation of supplier audit plans and results 
  • Development of KPI to support model development activity 
  • Manage KPI progression to ensure activity is on plan including; PPAP, Change control, Concern resolution, Supplier Risk 
  • Analyse and summarise large volumes of data 
  • Facilitate part and supplier concern resolution through to closure 
  • Represent department at project meetings 
  • Report department status at to wider project teams (Periodic & Gateways) 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:  

  • Experience of building close working relationships internally 
  • Experience of project co-ordination for new product introduction following APQP 
  • IT literate (competent user of MS products e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) 
  • Experience of generating and delivering project status reports 


  • Extensive experience of Automotive Quality/Manufacturing in OEM or tier one, including a minimum of 4 New Model Launches of which at least 2 in a QA related position 
  • Understand and have experience approving parts using PPAP 
  • Highly proficient in using problem solving techniques in a production environment (eg PPS) 
  • Detailed understanding of lean techniques to support problem solving. 
  • Supervisory experience would also be an advantage 
  • Qualifications  
  • Engineering/Automotive Degree or similar
