Quality Engineer - Engine Systems

Purpose of the Role:

Reliability is essential to our championship winning chances. The appointment of a designated quality engineer to support engineering systems design, manufacture, part assembly and test processes is vital to accelerate and yield improvements at all stages of the cars lifecycle. Working through the initial concept teams including design engineering and the supply chain, the role covers a variety of components and manufacturing techniques.

Role Dimensions:

Based at MTC reporting to the Quality Manager. The role will also involve some travel to suppliers and test facilities.

About You:

You’ll be a team player with a proactive approach, good organisational skills, and have great attention to detail. It can be a busy role, but you’ll love to work under pressure and be able to effectively and clearly communicate with the team.

A degree (or equivalent) in Production or Mechanical Engineering is desired, as is you being Six Sigma Green or Black Belt qualified. You’ll have extensive Quality Engineering experience, and thorough knowledge of metrology techniques and terminology is a must, as is knowledge of Carbon Fibre and Metallic manufacture. We’d also like you to have experience and knowledge in FMEA and process mapping.

You’ll be the kind of person who doesn’t get frustrated by challenges; instead, you use your technical problem-solving skills to develop and provide solutions that move the plan forward.
