Purchase Ledger Assistant

Location: Woking, GB

The Role:

You will be working within a small yet dynamic finance team who are currently reviewing its financial processes so you will require flexibility to accommodate these changes.  You’ll report to the finance manager and will be based at the McLaren Technology Centre. You must possess a desire to pursue a career in finance whilst being good at questioning and spotting irregularities. 

 

Responsiblities:

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices:
    • With purchase orders: match to purchase order and goods received
    • Ensuring that all costs follow the correct process with pre-authorisation 
  • Booking all costs to the correct project within the project system
  • Reconciling supplier accounts in the accounting system to supplier statements
  • Processing invoices on scanner, validating and posting onto Sage
  • Process payment runs and post cashbook
     
    Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of English and Maths GCSE’s grade B or equivalent industry experience
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of using a financial accounting software package
  • Support the month end process and deliver high quality output
