Project Engineer - Infotainment

Location: Woking, GB

Our supercars are famous for their sleek bodywork, impressive aerodynamics, and the unique sounds of our engines – but our infotainment systems are equally as important. Innovative infotainment features are at the heart of our new products - just look at the mirror replacement camera systems in the new McLaren Speedtail.

You’ll be joining us as a Project Engineer in the Infotainment team within Vehicle Electronics, where you’ll specify, test, and deliver driver infotainment systems from concept through to production. This will include developing requirements, test cases, as well as lots of supplier management. Systems you could be managing include radio, voice recognition, and connectivity, all of which have exciting long term technology roadmaps that you will be able to navigate.

It’s a really exciting time to join us, as we’ve been growing rapidly for the last few years and we’re aiming for higher levels of production and new programmes than ever before. You can be sure you’ll be working on some of the most innovative projects in the automotive industry as we look to progress in connectivity, gamification and augmented driving among other areas.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience in the delivery and development of electronic and electrical systems for automotive projects – this would preferably be infotainment but others areas of expertise could be considered. You’ll also need to have some expertise in areas like radio, navigation, multimedia, connectivity, Bluetooth, telephony, or voice recognition. Overall knowledge of the systems engineering V cycle is also necessary.

Collaboration is key in the role. You’ll be working closely with a number of suppliers and supporting engineering teams, so we need someone who is positive, motivated to be challenge and to challenge others, and someone keen to take on a large amount of responsibility and autonomy.
