McLaren Special Operations (MSO) is a division of McLaren Automotive, responsible for the design, development and delivery of personalised and bespoke vehicle commissions, performance details and options, as well as overseeing and ensuring McLaren legacy vehicles remain road worthy and up to date.  MSO products and services represent world class McLaren offerings.

We are looking for a highly motivated Programme Coordinator to join our recently formed Programme Management Office team to help deliver future Ultimate Series content from MSO.  

Principal accountabilities:

  • Lead responsibility for all aspects of the  Programmes' delivery activity for Ultimate Series projects within MSO
  • Develop & lead a cross functional team to define and deliver systems and components to cost, (BOM & Investment), weight, and quality targets
  • Programme responsibility for McLaren Special Operations content, including; budget & expenditure, timing and delivery and BOM management 
  • Support the definition of Spec Book, FMEA, DVP, Vehicle/System level technical and test specifications
  • Alongside function leaders, lead the design and development of systems and components to ensure optimised vehicle performance and delivery of vehicle attributes
  • Establish the supply chain in association with Supply Chain Management team to ensure supplier nomination and delivery of components and systems on schedule for all program phases 
  • Lead the review and management of programme concerns through-out the program
  • Respond to requests for information or specification change with assessment of risk and cost
  • Preparation and presentation of material to support external and internal project status reviews

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to lead and motivate a small focused team and work cross functionally
  • Highly organised and delivery focused – with demonstrable track record of on-time delivery in a high-pressure environment
  • Automotive design and development experience
  • Experience of niche vehicle (low volume) programmes

  • Delivery focused, with a demonstrable record of accomplishment of on-time delivery

  • Communication skills through all mediums, with the ability to organise and chair project reviews and deliver concise explanations of changes
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage Programmes in a high pressure environment
