Product Auditor - McLaren Special Operations - Band J

Working between McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and the McLaren Production Centre (MPC) the Product Auditor will not only have responsibility to audit MSO products but also deliver statistical analysis on the data and help implement quality improvements.

Purpose of the role:

As Product Auditor, you will act as the internal customer, auditing in-build MSO products and producing analysis to support quality improvement activities.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Performing an in depth audit inspection of vehicles (in-build specification checks)
  • Provide guidance for any perceived quality issues with new model introduction 
  • Relaying any concerns found back to managers and team members in an audit review meeting
  • Relay customer expectations with all stakeholders
  • Raising QCR’s on repeat concerns
  • Signing off vehicles for MSO content confirmation
  • Flexible working to ensure that all vehicles are FoK’d to the required McLaren quality levels prior to shipping
  • Inputting and maintaining data into Excel and Powerpoint documents for feedback to the business
  • MSO Quality Reporting
  • Supporting data driven quality initiatives
  • Conduct Goods-in-Inspection when required

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Significant level of expertise in an OEM or Tier One automotive environment
  • Expertise of working to processes
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Good understanding of Quality methods
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods or a willingness to learn

  • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Ability to work methodically and logically
  • Able to work well in a team or autonomously as required
