Our Team

Operations Performance manage business operations forecasting, planning and governance across McLaren Applied Technologies. Assuring excellence in operational supply, demand management and quality performance across the business, to meet the challenge of a rapidly growing company and to enable continuous improvement in process and governance to flourish.

The Role

The Operations Performance Analyst, will work with the Head of Operations Performance to carry out detailed operations data analysis, update and run our operations forecasting and planning models with information from the business, and develop and implement effective business operations management reporting. You will work closely with the Business Units, Programme and Project Managers, and Engineering Resource Managers to enable a high-performing operation throughout McLaren Applied Technologies.
 
Your tasks will include:

  • Support MAT's monthly, quarterly and annual business operations forecasting by capturing relevant operations data, producing insightful analysis, and producing high quality plans, reports and presentation formats, working with HR, Operations and Finance teams.
  • Run the rolling Operations forecast for resource demand and supply, maintaining the data integrity and presenting views and information into Executive and Operations meetings.
  • Review individual bid and project resource plans and work with programme and project managers, and operations and engineering resource managers to maintain a high level of resource demand and team capacity data accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the development and implementation of improved project and programme estimation, costing and pricing activities and tools.
  • Participate in the identification and execution of initiatives to streamline process, reduce administrative overhead and support achievement of Operations and business goals.

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Professional work experience in a high tech, software services or consulting organisation, ideally in a business operations role

Skills and Expertise

  • Commercially astute with experience of using processes and conducting data gathering analysis across business prioritisation, resource management, project and programme estimation, and resource supply/demand forecasting.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint. Must be able to develop MS Excel pivot tables, use lookups, check errors in formulae, and format/organise information for consumption by a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to analyse data and create customised, complex reports; ability to prepare coherent and impactful presentation material.

You will be based at the world-renowned McLaren Technology Centre. Our campus includes a subsidised restaurant, a café, a gym with a pool, break-out spaces, bicycle storage facilities and more.
