Purpose of the role:

Supporting the Motorsport Commercial Manager, the role is responsible for management of McLaren Motorsports global retailer network & respective customer base.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Ensure that McLaren Motorsports customers are given market leading service and advocate the McLaren brand
  • Be available on the phone and social media platforms to answer client queries outside of core work hours including weekends to foster an atmosphere conducive to a long-term relationship.
  • Assist both retailers and customers directly with their specification on race vehicle orders from start to finish
  • Host clients, retailers and prospects to discuss in detail their vision of their race car and guide them to a deliverable spec.
  • Build relationships with our most valued customers that results in an air of trust, and a desire on their part to engage with the McLaren brand fully
  • Be a first point of contact for internal teams on McLaren Motorsport queries
  • Manage the McLaren Motorsport feasibility meeting with the engineering team to discuss new ideas to offer to the global market and requests that are received from retailers and customers
  • Host customer tours at McLaren Motorsport facility  

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • You will be experienced in Motorsport / Automotive Sales with excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding attention to detail
  • Display a keen awareness & passion for Motorsport trends and market influence
  • Exhibits an inner confidence that results in being at ease within the company of championship leading / winning race teams and confident in leading the conversations
  • The ability to show technical competency when discussing mechanical option requests from clients.
  • Preferable educated to degree or A-level experience.

  • Mobile & willing to travel abroad as requested.
