As we begin this exciting journey we are looking for a Logistics Operative to join our McLaren Motorsport team.

Purpose of the role:

To manage logistical activities and equipment maintenance within McLaren Motorsport

This is an exciting and for filling role to part of the future of McLarens racing cars whilst also working towards the wider future of McLaren Motorsport.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Transporting cars and equipment to events throughout the UK & Europe
  • Ensure up-keep of trucks & pit equipment at events & base
  • During loading and unloading ensure that all relevant personnel are equipped with the correct and appropriate clothing at all times
  • Participate in garage set-up
  • Management of tyres & fuel
  • Ensure company image is maintained at each event
  • Ensure vehicles are presented to the highest standard possible
  • Work with the wider Engineering & Technical team to continually develop processes both at headquarters and whilst on events
  • Plan well to ensure that all logistical movements are achieved within permittable guidelines   
  • Post event reporting to Team Managers
  • Event set up which may include event preparation garage builds and hospitality set up
  • Maintain McLaren standards to ensure customer expectations are to the highest standard
  • Maintain all equipment throughout the Motorsport workshop
  • Work closely with the Team Managers and logistical teams to ensure that all stock levels are kept up to date at all times

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • CPC qualification
  • Clean Class 1 Driving Licence
  • Motorsport experience is essential
  • European driving experience is preferred
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to lead as required
  • Knowledge of motorsport GT programmes an advantage but not essential
  • Experience of working in a highly technical function and coping under pressure
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Delivery focused, with a demonstrable record of accomplishment of on-time delivery
  • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • Willingness to travel to all tests and chosen races
  • This position will involve extensive periods of time away from home and weekend work
