Merchandise and Licensing Executive

Location: Woking, GB

Purpose of the Role:

McLaren sells a wide range of consumer merchandise and licensed products through authorised resellers, B2B activities and an expanding eCom business.

The purpose of the role is to support the Merchandise and Licensing Team assisting in the day to day running of the department providing excellent administrative support the role will contribute to deliver sales and profitability growth.

The role will involve working with a wide variety of contacts at all levels – across the business internally with Marketing, Racing and Automotive and with License partners and suppliers.

Role Dimensions:

9 – 6pm, Woking based

Permanent, full time position

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Assist with collation of assets to provide to licensees
  • Maintain and update the licensing asset management system
  • Maintain licensed product approval databases with relevant licensees
  • Assist with the approval of designs and product samples in line with brand guidelines
  • Carry out relevant product reviews and market analysis keeping up with trends and new product launches
  • Liaise with digital, comms and marketing team on the provision of relevant assets for marketing and promotion
  • Maintain rolling product marketing and launch calendar
  • Weekly critical path and delivery report management and updates
  • NetSuite data input, housekeeping and maintenance
  • Purchase order and sales order raising, distribution and consolidation
  • Data management and update of team documents for weekly review
  • Assist with department projects
  • Organise and schedule department meetings
  • Manage general dept admins, post, couriers etc
  • Any other ad hoc office administrative requirements 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge and skills working on Windows computers, including Microsoft packages (particularly Excel). Experience on photoshop / illulstrator is prefereable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and handle multiple on-going projects.
  • A well organised self-starter with ability to work without supervision.
