We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to play a pivotal role in helping to grow the McLaren Automotive Licensing & Merchandising team in line with our ambitious Track 22 business plan.

Purpose of the role:

As Marketing Specialist you be responsible for developing & co-ordinating all marketing aspects of the Licensing Business, whilst also supporting the wider Merchandise & Partnerships team. 

You will be involved in supporting the Licensing team with the day to day marketing operations that support our activities and those of our partners to ensure opportunities are fully leveraged and maximised. 

Principal accountabilities:

  • Reporting into the Licensing Manager to develop the strategy & marketing activation plans across all areas of the marketing mix
  • Working with the Licensing Specialist to ensure marketing launch strategies & activations are identified and planned ahead of product launches
  • Co-ordinate with partners, agencies and liaise with the necessary internal departments, especially Marketing, PR, regional teams and dealers to support the activation plans as required
  • Coordinate logistics for support of licensee’s marketing events including vehicle support, photo shoots and filming requirements
  • Support the Licensing Specialist in the approval process of licensing marketing assets as required
  • Organise and participate in meetings, tours, and visits to the McLaren Campus & also external events for partners and their guests. This may include hosting responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Knowledge & experience of all elements of the marketing mix
  • Ability to deliver the highest level of customer service and create lasting relationships across a variety of audiences
  • Good commercial acumen and willingness to understand different industries and markets
  • Ability to manage & prioritise high volume workload and multi-task whilst adapting to change
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt approach
  • Good working knowledge of IT packages (i.e. Microsoft office, email systems)
  • Experience in a client facing and Luxury marketing environment highly desirable
  • Clean driving license highly desirable
