Logistics Team Leader

Purpose of the Role:

Managing the Logistics Operations team, you will manage a warehouse team to ensure operations run as per standard processes and escalation process are adhered to. 

As Logistic Operations Team Leader your main responsibilities will include:

  • Management and Execution of the Logistic Operations team.
  • Coordinate and support other warehouse activity as required, reporting completion and results.
  • Ensuring the stock integrity in the warehouse is held such as transactional accuracy, and process adherance.
  • Flexibility is required as this role will either work within the company shift patterns or may be core office hours
  • Ensure issues are accurately captured to allow for effective communication to the relevant department to drive improvement.
  • Timely Population of the relevant KPI and reporting data as required.
  • Prepare an accurate and communicative shift handover.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Close liaison with other disciplines within the logistics organisation, as well as other departments especially Inventory and Consolidation Teams, QA, Logistics Engineering, and Productions.
  • Participating in Policy Deployment
  • Effective Communication
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained on an ongoing basis and actively promote individual responsibility for health and safety.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of managing teams
  • Detailed working understanding of Logistics and associated up and down stream processes
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, especially automotive serial production will be an advantage
  • Applicants to be numerate, good communicators, IT literate with experience of using Warehousing Management Systems (SAP will be an advantage) and Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to use MHE equipment
  • Development of key performance indicators.
  • Methodology of Route Cause Analysis
