Logistics Analyst

Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Logistics Analyst, you will be part of a team that provides the Logistics Department with operational reporting and KPI analysis.  Providing key support in a dynamic and complex environment with focus across Supply Planning, Material Control, and Logistics Operation that enables the team to make decisions about current and desired performance. You will also provide key data to support decision making, and will need to effectively manage data and present it in a structured manner.  The Logistics Analyst will play a key role in developing and delivering innovative reporting solutions that move the business forward, and underpin a streamlined, efficient operation.  


Principal accountabilities:

  • Perform inventory analysis and management to avoid low stock and overstock
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current or future logistics reporting methods and processes
  • Effectively manage large amounts of data
  • Develop and maintain department KPI’s to measure all factors which affect materials, supply planning and inventory.
  • Plan and complete the assigned tasks within strict deadlines
  • Run scenario planning considering the impact on production, sales, inventory, obsolescence and revenue.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working in project teams to challenging deadlines
  • Inventory stock management
  • Confident in dealing with stakeholders, both internally and externally; ensuring the requirements of the department and wider business are met.
  • Ability to design reporting structures and put together presentation materials
  • Structured and organised approach to the management of work
  • Ability to interpret data accurately; providing analysis to support business strategies and decisions.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel (Advanced) and MS Access (Intermediate)
  • SAP experience is a benefit
