Group Brand Manager 

Purpose of the Role:

The primary role of the Group Brand Manager is to support with the development of the McLaren brand and its international profile, as it applies to the McLaren Technology Group companies and activities. As a guardian of the McLaren brand, the Brand Manager ensures consistency across all brand touch points through the creation of guidelines and brand materials.

Role Dimensions:

Based in Woking, reporting to the Group Brand Director. There may be some international travel and flexibility with working hours is required.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage the development of the McLaren brand as it applies to McLaren Technology Group companies and activities, including:
  • Supporting with activities that maintain world class presentation of the business
  • Ongoing development of best practise visual guidelines for partners, stakeholders and third party agencies
  • Tone of voice
  • Brand communications and initiatives
  • Event and special project branding
  • Branded merchandise design development
  • Support with the development, maintenance and communication of brand positioning, values and governance across the Group
  • Support with financial reconciliation across brand projects and activities
  • Work collaboratively with other McLaren Marketing functional areas to ensure relevant and appropriate application of brand standards
  • Collaboration with McLaren Automotive to ensure brand management synergies
  • Support with board presentation materials
  • Ensuring that brand standards are maintained at the McLaren Technology Centre
  • Support and manage special brand projects, as required
  • Act as a brand ambassador both internal and externally

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Develop and manage materials that reflect and enhance the McLaren brand positioning and premium aesthetic
  • Brand governance and project management experience involving multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and to prioritise and complete tasks on time and budget
  • Manage third party agencies, their briefing, defining scopes of work, and delivery on projects
  • Stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
  • Manage and present to senior management
  • Experience of handling commercially sensitive information and data with discretion
