To ensure McLaren Automotive continues its desire to be “the sportscar company”, we are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the finance team.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Daily multi-currency bank reconciliations across all the companies in the McLaren Automotive Group:
    • Allocating all outbound cash
    • Allocating all treasury FX transactions
    • Weekly actualising of the cash flow for treasury
    • Month end bank reconciliations ensuring that everything is posted and able to close WD1
  • Supplier, Customer & Internal Payment Runs
  • Payment run preparation & analysis                     
    • Preparation of the bi-monthly payment runs and provide support to the procurement and regional teams to ensure suppliers/customers are all set up for on time settlement
    • Provide the control finance director with the full payment proposal including aggregated summary analysis ahead of issuing to the CEO for approval
  • Bi-monthly payment proposal:
    • Ensuring all payment files are set up and released on time
    • Dealing with any payment run related queries
  • Daily manual request processing
    • Process all manual payment requests ensuring proper process is followed
    • All payment requests are processed and communicated to treasury
  • Weekly Receivables & Finished Goods Financing:
    • Prepare the drawdown and supporting analysis, and coordinate the drawdown process each week ensuring it is submitted on time
    • Ensure that the financial system data and other related financial models and files are maintained on a daily / weekly basis
    • Prepare weekly debt repayment analysis and ensure repayments are set up and made on time.
    • Liaising with the bank and insurance partners to ensure facility utilisation alignment and resolve facility maintenance queries
  • Receivables & Finished Goods Finance Limit Listing
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders and insurance partner to set dealer limits in principle & actual limits when new dealers onboard
    • Liaise with insurance partner to ensure dealer financial reviews & limit maintenance runs smoothly
  • Month end bank/cash flow tracking & analysis
    • Maintenance and management of the bank tracker model
  • Analytical support
    • Bank GL analysis
    • Supplier/customer payment analysis
    • Daily bank account transaction analysis
  • Prepare the VAT return each month for review by the tax manager.
  • Maintaining the credit card inbox, managing new credit card requests or any other queries

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Strong GCSEs, A-Levels and degree level qualification (desired)
  • AAT qualified / CIMA, ACA or ACCA part-qualified (desired)
  • Experience within a finance function (desired)
  • Able to remain focused and successfully set up large volumes of payments without any errors
  • Strong Excel and IT skills with an interest in financial modelling and working with large complex data sets
