F1 Support Engineer

The Role:

As a Support Engineer you will complement the support offered at the race track with SECU and off car systems. You will diagnose problems to objectively understand whether it is a failure of the system or it's environment.You will contribute to the development of the Support Engineers group whilst continuously improving processes relevant to the Motorsport area of the business.


The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service and high quality technical support. You must be well organised, self-motivated, punctual, and flexible in your approach to work with the ability to prioritise a variable workload and the initiative to escalate a problem appropriately. You will be required to communicate effectively with pressurised users at all levels, often whilst under pressure themselves. 


Being an excellent team player, you will work with your team to improve the systems, procedures and knowledge base by contributing and collaborating as you are exposed to a broad range of products.



  • Resolve hardware and software issues escalated by the 1st line support
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided
  • Escalate problems to the relevant product/project manager  
  • Perform administrative support duties, as required, to meet specific operational objectives
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on your own and as part of a team
  • Log emails via the helpdesk (Zendesk)
  • Product and workload documentation
  • Flexible out of hours working and providing weekend cover.


Skills and Experience:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products & experience working with SQL databases
  • Software development or scripting experience
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow
  • Experience of data analysis tools such as ATLAS would be beneficial
