The Role:

  • McLaren Applied Technologies develop control electronics and software for high performance applications. As an Engineering Administrator, you will sit within the wider Hardware Design team;
  • As an Engineering Administrator you will support the wider engineering team by carrying out the following tasks:
    • Raise Stock Request forms
    • Create new Part Number and Early Allocation BOMs
    • Enter new components into PCB Design Software (Cadence)
    • Manage Drawing Registers
    • Search for and specify replacement parts for Obsolete Components
    • Manage test equipment (availability and calibration)
  • The role could also expand into the following:
    • Conduct Simulation Work to determine best component values for a design
    • Assemble test equipment and conduct initial design test and validation
    • Create reports
  • You will understand the full development cycle from specification, design, schematic capture, through to supporting PCB layout, manufacture and assembly operations while following and developing design procedures;

 

You:

  • Will have a basic knowledge of digital electronic design for high performance multi-processor systems;
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a desire for continuous improvement;
  • Have knowledge of ERP Systems and how they interact with the business;
  • Can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including hardware, software, mechanical and systems engineers;
  • Are able to engage with a broad range of stakeholders and work within a matrix organisation;
