Digital Creative Executive

Role Dimensions: 

We currently have a vacancy for a Digital Creative Executive to join McLaren Marketing’s award-winning Digital & Social Media Team. The purpose of this role is to create a breadth of creative assets to be used across McLaren’s digital and social ecosystem, including video, still imagery and animation, supporting the organisation’s brand, partner and communications objectives.

Principal Accountabilities: 

Working closely with the Social Media Manager and Digital Videographer, you will be producing and delivering engaging and creative digital and social media focussed content, targeted with engaging McLaren’s global fanbase, and driving partner brand exposure. This includes everyday content activity and tent-pole social media campaigns.

  • Plan, produce and edit digital creative content in a range of formats to be used across a breadth of digital and social media channels
  • Apply the house-style for creative content in accordance with the overarching brand and digital strategy, objectives and tone of voice, flexing to the specific nuances of social media
  • Contribute to the creative planning of digital and social media visual assets, driving innovation in McLaren’s overarching content strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • A comprehensive understanding of Adobe Creative products
  • Established knowledge and application of graphic design, video editing and motion graphics, with the ability to apply creative thinking to projects, particularly focussing on social media.
  • A proven track record of producing successful and forward-thinking assets for use on digital and social media channels
  • The ability to produce content to tight deadlines and in high pressure situations
  • A broad understanding of the role that digital content plays in engaging sports fans, evidencing an understanding of fans’ passion and key drivers
  • Awareness and application of social media platform best practice
  • Ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority

  • Diligent work ethic; flexible weekend/evening schedules will be required, including a small amount of travel
  • Taking it personally – demonstrating the drive and ambition to grow McLaren’s social media and digital creative output on industry-leading channels.
