Customer Support Officer

As we continue to drive for perfection, we are looking for a Customer Support Officer to join our Security team in Woking.

You will be at the forefront of McLaren greeting every guest, delivery, passing public or VIP executive. The Customer Support Officer will maintain security on the premises to the highest professional level. You will be working within a three person team on a shift pattern (including days and nights) so communication and co-operation is essential to our daily operation. 

Purpose of the Role:

  • To provide exceptional customer care and personal presentation while representing the McLaren brand.  
  • To maintain building security and reception duties on the premises to the highest professional level.  

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Provide the highest level of security and reception services at Victoria Gate, Woking and the wider McLaren property portfolio
  • Ensuring access to premises is monitored through the use of walk around and security cameras
  • Ensure all guests are signed in and out of the property
  • Confidently assist on site events with traffic management, guest transfers and event security
  • Accurately, maintain documentation and write reports
  • Attend offsite premises for foot patrol and alarm responses
  • You will be expected to keep up to date with company policy and health and safety requirements for your role and across the company.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • Ideally you will be from a front of house Security background in a highly proactive role with the below.
  • Full and current First aid at work certificate
  • Computer literate, including excel and word
  • Minimum SIA front line licence or Door supervisor
  • Previous executive VIP customer service experience, working on a high-profile reception

Personal Attributes: 

  • You will need to be a team player and able to assist in holiday, sickness and event cover.  
  • A proactive individual that can use common sense and resolve issues or given tasks efficiently.   
  • Willing to work an 8 or 12 hour shift including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, as well as a keen, flexible attitude to covering staff absences (overtime available); both planned and on short notice.
