Continuous Improvement Reporting Analyst

Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the CI Manager for Operations, the CI reporting analyst works alongside the CI Lead supporting the build of data-driven products that close the physical-to-digital divide for business areas, promoting business intelligence and real time reporting, improving performance across businesses, combining specialist hardware and software.We want you to have an awareness of SQL and/or programming languages such as Python or Java as well as desire to continue to develop and learn new skills.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Focus engagement with Business process owners, Super User and CoE leads.
  • Gather business requirements to align process evolution and SAP application roadmap with CoE lead.
  • Consolidate change requests from Super users to feed a development roadmap.
  • Capable to differentiate process versus application issues and drive relevant change management.
  • Triage SAP support issues following feedback from Key Users & End Users.
  • Provide first line support and on-the-job coaching/mentoring/training for all users within their responsible area for the identified SAP role(s).
  • Learn the system from the end-user application perspective; this includes SAP and the associated business processes.
  • Responsible for helping maintain all relevant training materials
  • Assist in training end users on the use of the system for one or more SAP modules; this includes tips on optimal workflow and processes.
  • Responsible for identifying change impacts and developing strategies and materials to aid adoption
  • Act as a coach and champion the use of the system, reinforce positive habits and overcome negative workarounds
  • Participate in testing and validation of the new standards, new processes, and new functionality.
  • Participate in Business Process Management and audits, workshops, blueprinting and acceptance testing
  • Provide high-quality mentoring, knowledge transfer and training for SAP Modules to the business Key users and end-users.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • BSc/BEng, BA and/or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated programming experience for at least one programming language e.g. SQL/Python/Java/C#/C++
  • Preferably SAP experience, preferably in the areas of PP, WM / IM, ME.
  • Gains the respect of colleagues and is a team player who is more interested in results than personal preferences
  • Excellent team player with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Confident in decision making and reinforcing the changes in team’s processes & behaviour
  • Ability to contextualise the SAP solution into McLaren language and ways of working
  • Advocate Change Management with a good understanding of how to apply change strategies
  • Strong analytical, technical and written skills that enable you to communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Business process analysis and redesign experience; including process mapping; business process redesign and implementation
  • Sound knowledge of integration points
  • Able to develop functional specifications for business reports
