Cyber Security Engineer

To ensure McLaren Automotive continues to be at the forefront of the Automotive market, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our highly respected Electronics and Controls team to shape the future of our technology focused brand.
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Be part of a growing cyber security team with exposure to the whole vehicle cyber security lifecycle
  • Provide cyber security support to the McLaren Automotive vehicle engineering team
  • Develop the vehicle cyber security concepts and requirements
  • Validate and assist with implementation of cyber security controls and requirements
  • Work with suppliers to ensure successful delivery in-line with McLaren project gateways and quality standards, as well as regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with the Connected Car team to ensure the highest levels of security, privacy and compliance across the Connected Car project
  • Optimise new and existing cyber security technologies

Experience

  • Threat analysis and risk assessment
  • Development of cyber security concepts
  • Design and specification of security architecture

Desirable

  • Experience working with appropriate vehicle cyber security standards such as J3061
  • Security engineering knowledge for cyber-physical systems
  • Knowledge of in-vehicle network protocols
  • Cryptography principles, applications and implementation considerations
