Our team

The Vehicle Systems team are responsible for all aspects of the design and development of bespoke On Car ECUs for both powertrain and body. A key skill of the group is to take technology derived from Motorsport applications and apply it to Automotive projects where safety, unit cost and class leading reliability over the entire product lifecycle is key to success.
 
The role

We have a requirement for a Continuous Integration Engineer to support the software development activities for electronic control systems within our Vehicle Systems team. You will primarily perform configuration management duties to assist the software development teams, defining build and release procedures. Additional responsibilities include generation and maintenace of all CM Strategy and Procedures in compliance with ISO26262 and wider company procedures.

Requirements

  • Have a First class degree or upper 2nd in a related engineering subject or equivalent experience
  • Are able to engage with a broad range of stakeholders and work within a matrix organisation
  • Have a thorough understanding of Configuration Management processes, ideally within a ISO26262 or  IEC61508 project environment
  • Are from an Automotive, Aerospace or similar safety critical development environment
  • Understand and enforce change and configuration management
  • Have solid experience of developing and manageing continuous integration build environments and supporting processes

Skills and expertise

  • Continuous integration environments, Team City / Jenkins / Artifactory
  • Issue Tracking, Jira / Team Foundation or equivalent
  • Version Control GitHub / Git / Mercurial
  • VM and linux based technologies
  • Automation of off target test environments (Simulink Test / Polyspace, Vector Test) 
  • ISO26262 Part 8 Supporting Processes
  • Software test tools (Polyspace, QAC or LDRA)
  • Requirements and Issue tracking management (DOORs or similar, Jira)
  • Hands on experience with client server and internet technologies
