The Team:

The Vehicle Systems team are responsible for all aspects of the design and development of bespoke On Car ECUs for both powertrain and body. A key skill of the group is to take technology derived from Motorsport applications and apply it to Automotive projects where safety, unit cost and class leading reliability over the entire product lifecycle is key to success.

The Role:

  • We have a requirement for a Continuous Integration / DevOps Engineer to support the software development activities for electronic control systems within our Vehicle Systems team.  
  • The team is responsible for all aspects of the design and development of bespoke On Car ECUs for both powertrain and body. 
  • You will primarily perform Continuous Integration / DevOps duties to assist the software development teams, automate software build, test and release procedures 
  • Additional responsibilities will involve ensuring Continuous Integration strategy and process is compliant with ISO26262 and company wide procedures

 Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Have a First-Class degree or upper 2nd in a related engineering subject or equivalent experience;
  • Have solid experience of developing and managing continuous integration build environments and supporting processes
  • Able to engage with a broad range of stakeholders and work within a matrix organisation;

The following skills and experience are desirable:

  • Hands on setup and configuration of Continuous integration environments (Team City / Jenkins / Artifactory)
  • Scripting languages (Bash, Python, Java, Perl or similar)
  • Issue and bug tracking (Jira, Team Foundation or equivalent)
  • Version Control GitHub / Git / Mercurial
  • Automation of off target test environments (Simulink Test / Polyspace, Vector Test) 
  • Software test tools for static and dynamic analysis (Polyspace, QAC, LDRA, PC-Lint or similar)
  • Requirements management (DOORs, Polarion or comparable tools)
  • Awareness of the impact of ISO26262, IEC61508, D0178-B or comparable safety standards on continuous integration strategy and process
  • Experience of Automotive, Aerospace or similar safety critical development environment
