CNC Programmer, Setter, Operator (Weekend Shift)

Purpose of the role:

  • To programme, set and operate multi-axis CNC machine tools, producing carbon and metallic race car components.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To programme and manufacture components to supplied CAD and drawings
  • Setting and operating multi-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining centres
  • Whenever possible, you will be required to set and operate more than one machine
  • Maintaining program and tooling records for all components produced
  • Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping in the workplace
  • To be aware of health and safety legislation as it applies in the workplace
  • In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out other such duties as may be reasonably requested in support of the department and wider business demands

 Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Experience using multi-axis machining centres
  • Proficient in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Programming – ideally Open Mind CAM or Delcam (Powershape and Powermill)
  • Knowledge of 3DExperience Design Tools
  • Previous experience in manufacturing precision components and pattern work, preferably in a motorsport environment or similar would be beneficial
  • Must be an experienced craftsperson with a proven track record

Shift pattern:

This is a Friday to Sunday role, 38.5hrs/week over 3 days.
