You will be part of our business plan to launch 18 new models or derivatives of our vehicles, expanding our retailer network into new markets with an aim of having 100 retailers globally. The Role

We have just created a new division within our Purchasing and SQA. You will be joining us at an exciting time where we are expanding and require an experienced Business Development Manager to join our newly created Business Development team onsite at Woking, Surrey.

As Business Development Manager Standards, you will take responsibility for ensuring the purchasing and SQA department are fully aligned on the internal and external processes and supporting documentation required for supplier sourcing. Adopting a meticulous approach, you will play a pivotal role in defining and achieving professional standards.

 

Principal accountabilities:

  • Responsible for implementing the required documentation at a universally high standard to support robust supplier selection. This documentation is cross functional across a broad spectrum of internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Review, manage and track the implementation and enforcement of supplier selection documentation from strategy to nomination completion, including awarding of business communication and contract completion.
  • Support internal stakeholders by responding to inquiries on the strategy to nomination process, ensuring all matters are addressed efficiently and promptly.
  • Work with all teams to ensure that risks to the timely completion of the sourcing process are identified, communicated, and managed pro-actively.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Able to demonstrate proven experience with regards to supplier selection across commodities and create standardised documentation to support this process both internally and externally.
  • Experience managing complex supplier relationships in all situations.
  • Promoting and sustaining the value of professional standards within the purchasing and SQA department.
  • The ability to manage decisions based on data.
  • Able to map out the end to end purchasing and SQA process to industry best practice, from supplier identification to exit strategies.
  • Able to create and deliver purchasing strategies across commodities ranging in all kraljic segments.
  • Skilled and experienced at a management level negotiating with and presenting to internal stakeholders.
