Reporting to: Controls Software Principal Engineer

 

Purpose of the Role

A rare and exciting opportunity to join our highly successful Body Controls Software Development Team as a Body Controls Software Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of Body Controls algorithms, diagnostics and calibration for whole vehicle, performance related control systems. The role brings unparalleled levels of responsibility, ownership and direct involvement with our world leading products.

 

Experience

  • Model-based, auto-coded software prototyping and production implementation
  • Support vehicle software testing and calibration
  • Very good Control theory background
  • Support production ramp up and series development

 

Skills, knowledge, abilities

  • Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Degree 2:1 or above.
  • Electrical interior and exterior expertise
  • Implementation of actuators (pumps, valves) with LIN communication
  • Software requirements capture and detailed software design
  • Model-based control software development and verification
  • AUTOSAR software components generation and integration
  • Verification testing in MIL, SIL and HIL environments, and in-vehicle integration
  • Compliance to industry standards such as ISO26262 and ASPICE

 

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Model in the loop and hardware in the loop software validation
  • Vehicle-based software calibration
  • Body Controls Software Development
  • 12V Electrical load management expertise
