Junior Audio Visual Technician

Location: Woking, GB

Purpose of the Role:

  • To be part of an in-house technical team delivering AV and meeting room support services at the McLaren Technology Centre and other facilities used by the McLaren Group.

Role Dimensions:

  • The position will be based at the McLaren Technology Centre
  • Travel to other local McLaren Facilities will be required

Principal Accountabilities

  • To provide Audio Visual technical services in support of staff, commercial, partner and VIP events and activities including The McLaren Thought Leadership Centre.
  • To service and support meeting rooms throughout the McLaren campus and other facilities used by the McLaren Group
  • Working with the other Technicians and suppliers to provide an excellent, integrated service in support of all activities that require audio visual technical services
  • Ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Comply with all relevant H & S policies and ensure best practice at all times
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in all aspects of AV service delivery to include setting up meeting rooms, theatres, conference facilities and events. Ability to communicate with clients at board level
  • Excellent knowledge of AV equipment and complex technical installations including video conferencing
  • Strong & demonstrable AV/IT/technical background
  • Ability to liaise with clients and contractors in the delivery of all audio visual activity across the McLaren campus.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in managing tight deadlines, resource and customer assistance inquiries
  • Proven knowledge of sound and video engineering essential
  • Strong and proven knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop, Watchout, video and audio protocol and editing essential
  • Full driving licence required
  • MEWP licence would be an advantage
  • Experience in rigging and event installations would be an advantage but not essential
