Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager, the Logistics Analyst provides a vital support role with the Logistics Operations by designing and maintaining the reporting structure, methods and processes required to effectively manage data and present it in a structured manner that enables the team to make decisions about current and desired performance.

The Logistics Analyst develops strategically focussed reporting for the Logistics management team, enabling clear and educated decision to be made on the future performance of the function


Role Dimensions & Principal Accountabilities:

  • Understand the structure, policies, and operations of the logistics operations
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current or future logistics reporting methods and processes
  • Develop the systems to produce strategic and operational level KPI dashboards
  • Develop statistical analyses and strategic reporting to assist management in determining the most effective solution for specific business/operational challenges and aid them in solution implementation.
  • Analyse the logistics systems, software, and processes and propose solutions for the best ways of how to deliver, satisfy, or meet the logistics business and operational requirements
  • Providing training and support for the use and application of reports and data
  • Assist the logistics management team to assess the cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services and develop data driven reporting tools.
  • Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Possess a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in business, logistics, management information systems or a similar field.
  • Confident in dealing with stakeholders, both internally and externally, in ensuring the requirements of the department and wider business are met.
  • Understanding of Automotive OEM supply chains specifically logistics operations processes.
  • Ability to design reporting structures and put together presentation materials
  • Structured and organised approach to the management of work
  • Experience of working within and Automotive OEM desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of MS Excel (Advanced), Access and database creation and management
