Accounts Payable Clerk FTC

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Processing UK & overseas purchase ledger invoices and matching to purchase orders and goods received
  • Identifying and resolving queries from suppliers and staff
  • Reconciling supplier accounts
  • Dealing with suppliers by phone, addressing their queries and resolving any issues
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required, processing company expenses
  • Opportunity to take on month end reconciliations in the future


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Persistent when resolving issues
  • Good at questioning and spotting irregularities
  • Minimum of English and Maths GCSE’s grade C
  • Previous experience within a finance department as a purchase ledger clerk for at least 2 years is essential.
  • Good IT skills including Excel and accounting software
