Principal Accountabilities:

The role of Manager, Partnership Development USA is a sales role with an objective of revenue generation, focusing primarily on technology partnerships and integration opportunities that will have an impact on performance across Racing and Group.

This role will be expected to Identify, approach, and manage the sales process with general understanding of software, hardware and cloud-based technologies, as well as how they could play a role regarding integration into McLaren’s business.

General marketing knowledge is needed as this role will be developing technology partnerships that in most cases will have a sponsorship element of Racing Teams, in exchange for marketing rights and business development via integration across our Group IT platform.

Role Dimensions:

No direct reports, income generator, lead generator, Senior level network across US-based technology companies. Preferably in Northern California. Flexibility in working hours will be required and ability to travel. This role reports to the SVP, Americas – Partnership Development

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • History of success in a sales role, ideally within technology – software, cloud, enterprise or commercial
  • Developed network of senior executives across Northern California technology companies
  • Understanding and a finger on the pulse of not only developed and mature technology companies, but emerging companies & technology as well
  • General understanding of marketing, ideally sports marketing, in how our technology partners would generate maximum value in a McLaren partnership
  • A confident, articulate, passionate individual with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • The ability to work effectively with the senior most client marketing executives as well as the McLaren Team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated empathy and commitment to success, along with a proven ability to manage expectations will be essential
  • Computer Savvy- Working remotely, the candidate will need a general understanding of IT and working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Flexibility in working hours and able to do extensive travel
  • Multi-lingual capabilities (Spanish and/or French) would be desirable
