The primary role of the Manager, Partnership Development Director – Americas is to support SVP, Americas in developing world-class partner portfolio of partners in the region. This role will be expected to create meaningful dialogue with senior executives of US-based corporations, while having major focus on Canada, Mexico and Brazil for lead generation as well.

Role Dimensions:

No direct reports, income generator, lead generator, Flexibility in working hours will be required and ability to travel.  This role reports to the SVP, Americas – Partnership Development

Principal Accountabilities:

The Manager, Partnership Development – USA  will be responsible for;

Executing stated marketing strategies and selling global rights fees based packages, predominantly targeting to companies Headquartered in the US, Mexico, Canada and Brazil. Initiating and driving new business relationships are the primary focus of this position. Success will require the ability to aggressively penetrate into multiple industries seeking out potential business opportunities. He/she is responsible for discovering, planning, and initiating new business relationships to fill their own pipeline. He/She will also have responsibility at times for campaign management in support of SVP, Americas and CEO of McLaren Racing. 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Proven success in similar previous positions
  • The ability to initiate and drive new business relationships is primary for this role.
  • Agency and business development experience and past success in managing brands that have made use of event marketing, including motorsports sponsorships, would be highly desirable.
  • A confident, articulate, passionate individual with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • The ability to work effectively with the senior most client marketing executives as well as the McLaren Team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated empathy and commitment to success, along with a proven ability to manage expectations will be essential.
  • Computer Savvy- Working remotely, the candidate will need a general understanding of IT and working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Flexibility in working hours and able to do extensive travel.
  • Multi-lingual capabilities (Spanish and/or French) would be desirable.
  • Ideally having an understanding of the market in America as well as South and Latin America.
