Purpose of the Role: The McLaren Technology Group, based in Woking, UK, embraces a collection of niche, hi-tech companies each maximising the benefits of the global name and reputation that McLaren has established in the cutting-edge technology sport of Formula 1.

The primary role is to support the SVP and VP, Americas in a wide range of business and sales activity. He/She will support the SVP and VP, Americas across all areas to ensure he and the Partnership Development team in the region meet KPI’s and all business objectives. Strong working relationships with other employees across McLaren Marketing is key to success.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Supporting SVP and VP in the region on sales and enabling the regional PD team to reach KPI’s and sales objectives
  • Manage, support and coordinate new business activity including: campaign planning, campaign execution, meeting briefs, research, follow up correspondence and on the ground guest hosting support at Grand Prix and McLaren events
  • Maintain the New Business Pipeline and proactively recommend follow up and next step support to the SVP and VP, Americas
  • The role will work closely with the McLaren departments across Events, Experiences, Partnerships, Strategy and GP Guest Programme Teams. He/She will manage the campaign calendar and liaise directly with the internal McLaren teams on all details around the hosting of guests and preparation of materials
  • The role requires a rounded knowledge of IT systems and Salesforce. He/she will ensure the database and post-campaign reports are kept up to date
  • Develop strong relationships with the McLaren Marketing key team members and assisting SVP and VP, Americas on internal objectives
  • When required, he/she will lead specific projects

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in managing projects
    • Adept and sound project management of multiple items on a daily, monthly and annual basis
  • Flexible hours and ability to work across multiple time zones, prioritizing their own activity and internal communications
  • Understanding of sports marketing and sales, and what is needed to achieve success
  • Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally
  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally
  • International living and/or working experience
  • In-depth IT knowledge – adept at Microsoft / office 365 / Salesforce
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to operate in a highly-pressurised environment
  • Experienced in quickly identifying problems and developing practical solutions
  • Ability to manage time in a multi-tasking environment
