The Alliance delivers data-driven solutions in the form of software products and enabling services that help to bridge the physical-to-digital divide. The team leverages the digital modelling, simulation, data analytics and optimisation techniques developed in the highly competitive environment of Formula 1 to address complex, industry-wide problems and thereby improve business performance.

Our collaboration with Deloitte is looking to assist businesses in markets such as Manufacturing & Supply Chain and Aviation to improve performance of management and operations through developing products which bridge the physical and digital worlds.

These engagements leverage our technical capabilities supported by analogies from our own operations so that we act as an inspirational catalyst for initial and continued performance improvements for our partners and clients.

The Team

We are looking to enhance our Operational Performance team to accelerate the growth of our alliance with Deloitte in addition to our various business units and partnerships.

The team act at the forefront of partner or client engagements to better understand their operations and associated performance challenges to seek out new opportunity areas, qualify these and work with our technical specialists to support the development of new product concept propositions.

In addition, the team provides insights into the high-performance culture of McLaren and support clients in translating this into their organisations.

About You – Principal Accountabilities:

You will be a highly focussed, high-energy individual, working within a small team framework but capable of operating autonomously with minimal direction and able to interact quickly and easily with our own multi-disciplinary team and those of customers and partners.

You will have exemplary communication and collaboration skills – particularly listening, persuasion and negotiation, capable of representing the McLaren brand and able to report and present to customers, partners and colleagues across all organisational levels

You will be adept at analysing business and operational situations, codifying the positives, identifying potential areas for improvement, and supporting the definition of appropriate concepts or solutions

Supporting your operational professionalism, you will have a keen interest and appreciation of technology and its power to support operational performance.

You will have a passion for excellence, a hunger to learn and the flexibility to adapt to novel situations outside of your area of expertise.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Leading, maintaining and delivering client engagements.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional organisation. 
  • Understanding, Assessing and Codifying existing processes in order to support continuous improvement
  • Experience working collaboratively with technical specialists not only in problem definition but subsequent conceptualisation, definition, design, and delivery of solutions.
  • Experience in delivering operation excellence/change management through performance management and improvement methodologies.
  • Experience of supporting business case development (e.g. Competitor analysis, marketing sizing, cost benefit analysis etc.)
  • Experience with supporting the drafting and closure of commercial proposals for customer engagements.
  • Experience presenting to across all organisation levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset who strives for continuous improvement.
