Software Engineer - Developer in Test

Our Team
You will work in the Off-Car Systems team. Our team is responsible for multiple applications that support some of the world’s most prestigious motorsport series including, Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar and Le Mans. We also support a rapidly growing market for high volume data analysis tools. 
As a Developer in Test Engineer, you will work alongside other software engineers to develop automated simulations for our products by implementing and improving test frameworks and developing test cases according to real life user behaviours.

Essential Requirements 

  • Experience with NUnit framework or similar 
  • Experience with Jenkins Automation Server or similar 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and configuration tools e.g. Azure DevOps or similar 
  • Experience in big code bases with TDD and BDD mentality 
  • Experience with design pattern best practices such as SOLID and OOP 

Desirable Requirements 

  • Good understanding of distributed Version Control Systems such as GIT 
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL or similar 
  • Experience with User Interface test frameworks such as TestStack or similar 
  • Experience with WPF & MVVM pattern 
  • Familiarity with test management tools such as QTest 
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python within the test frameworks

You will be based at our unique offices in the South Bank area of London. The building boasts spacious offices and meeting rooms, a gaming lounge and stunning views of London. It also hosts weekly events, classes, workshops and happy hours, encouraging the best and brightest to network and discuss the next big idea to hit the tech industry. Some travel to the McLaren Technology Centre (Woking, Surrey) will be required.
Recruitment Process
If your application is successful, you’ll be invited for a phone interview with one of our experienced technical recruiters. If our recruiter believes you're suitable for the role, you will then be asked to complete a technical challenge and video interview. This will be completed in your own time. The final stage involves a face to face interview with members of the existing team and the relevant engineering manager
