Purpose of the Role: To take responsibility and support the Partner Manager in the day to day operational fulfilment of the partnership account for the Principal Partner of the McLaren F1 Racing Team. The goal will be to ensure that the contractual rights are fully leveraged and maximised for the partner.

Role Dimensions:

  • Reports to Partner Manager / Partner Specialist
  • Focus of the role is primarily on one partnership account, supporting the Partner Manager and Head of. However, there will be a need to focus on and support projects for the wider McLaren marketing and partnerships team in general
  • This role could require extensive and repeated travel (5-10 races) both within the UK and internationally and consequently flexibility in working hours will be required 

Principal Accountabilities:

Partnership Management

  • Learn and develop a deep understanding of partner’s business strategies, objectives, target growth markets, competitors and KPI’s / metrics that resonate when evaluating success
  • Support the Partner Manager ensuring the successful delivery of the partner’s 360 activation plans to ensure that the partner’s rights are maximised to achieve their objectives and KPIs
  • Lead in the organisation and coordination of key assets of the partnership such as supporting on the delivery of merchandise, internal events, show car bookings, social media and digital assets. Ensure all these assets are delivered on brief and with the required branding.
  • Lead in the coordination of all documentation for race weekends, this includes but is not limited to creating driver and stakeholder briefs and coordinating the appearances, organising guest tour times, coordinating guest passes and ensuring accreditation deadlines and asset request deadlines are met.
  • Track all asset usage and lead in keeping project status documents up to date
  • Provide on-site support as needed
  • Support in the setting of best practices for project management, budget management and client reporting

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is essential
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team; you will be working across several activities with tight deadlines
  • Ability to analyse problems and develop practical solutions
  • Demonstrate an understanding of sport marketing and sponsorship activation
  • Knowledge of, and passion for, both sport and entertainment
  • Good working knowledge of IT packages (e.g. MS Office suite) such that presentations can be made in an F1 context on and away from the track
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and attention to detail
  • Fluent in English.  Other languages would be an advantage
