Project Analyst

As part of our Track25 business plan we will launch 18 new models or derivatives of our vehicles and look to expand our retailer network into new markets with an aim of having 100 retailers globally.

Purpose of the role:
Supporting the Project Co-ordination team to deliver engineering changes from initial engineering input to the hand over to series production. This role will play a key role in execution and improvement of McLarens change management processes from product develop to launch.
Principal accountabilities:

  • Support Programme and Launch cadences.

  • Report, facilitate and enable ETRS creation and delivery.

  • Co-ordinate BOM validation with engineers, manufacturing engineering and PDM.

  • Understand and clear workflow roadblocks on uncontained QCRs Support progress & closure

  • Work with Engineering to provide and maintain robust BDR containment data/quality

  • Co-ordinate countermeasure plans with PCM in a timely manner

  • Coordinate with VLM Department heads/PCM to check for roadblocks for ERs and MRs

  • Manage progress of task approvals through the ER and MR process flow

  • Run daily Engineering Change forums to prioritise the next targeted releases and use data to resolve road blocks

  • Tracking of tooling orders

  • Follow-up on forecasted delays and drive to resolve to meet expected task timing

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Management engineering or automotive engineering degree

  • Knowledge of change management tools

  • Knowledge and understanding of product development processes.

  • Critical, factual and pragmatic approach based on knowledge of problem solving and cause-effects analysis methodologies.

  • Excellent data analysis skills and ability to summarise findings, drive recommendations and present to all parts of the business.

  • Advanced level excel skills

  • Good knowledge of product development metrics.
