NVH Senior Chassis Engineer

As part of McLaren’s Track 25 plan, we are looking to invest £1.2 billion into Research and Development, leading to the launch of 18 all-new cars or derivatives by the end of 2025.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful Chassis and Vehicle Technology team as an NVH Senior Chassis Engineer, to perform engineering activities for high-performance road car development testing programmes, managing and monitoring the overall vehicle testing programme at our site in Idiada, Spain.
Purpose of the Role: 

  • To develop the attribute criteria for target setting and components specification of all the chassis components.
  • Define the Chassis components design guidelines to support the NVH attribute.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Follow and support Chassis team to meet the NVH attribute targets related to all chassis systems and components (steering system, suspension system, brakes and related ancillaries)
  • Improve the NVH capabilities to set and meet the Comfort target, with simulation tools and testing activities.
  • Improve the definition of the rubber components, using simulation tools and testing activities.
  • Update all the McLaren standard procedures for simulation and testing related to Chassis components.
  • Open to innovative solutions.
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with FG engineers, team leaders and managers.
  • Lead Chassis NVH target setting and breakdown, integration function department together to meet Comfort performance target, track and report the status and make proposals application.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • Chassis components experience, performance target setting, breakdown, could align with engineer and FG for target achievement.
  • Good oral English and communication capability 
  • Proven direct OEM Ride Comfort experience in Automotive industry.
  • Complete vehicle integration experiences is highly preferred.
  • Master of engineering mechanics Degree or equivalent;
