Job Title:        Qualified Engineer NVH                                            

 

Department:   Vehicle Technology   

 

Reporting to: Manager NVH

                                                                                   

Date of preparation:  April 2016                  

 

 

Purpose of the Role:

 

Through the use of simulation and test data, develop innovative solutions to meet subjective and objective targets for McLaren vehicle programs.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

  • Delivery of NVH attribute on time, through simulation support and  test analysis
  • Support testing activities for models correlation, vehicle programs and components development.
  • Support the benchmarking activities.
  • Support NVH team activities through component and vehicle testing as well as  planning (budget and timing)
  • Support function group engineers to ensure that new vehicles meet NVH targets within project budget and timescales

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

 

  • Able to know principle of NVH attribute development such as Sound Quality,

    Wind noise, Road noise, primary and secondary ride, power-train NVH development, S&R assessment

  • Good Knowledge and methodological approach to NVH problem solving.
  • Subjective NVH vehicle evaluation required
  • Computer skills: Must be able to use MS Office, Ability to use related NVH Test engineering software such as LMS test-lab and analysis test data, including TPA, modal analysis, PCA.
  • Good oral English and communication capability
  • Experience: More than 2 years direct OEM NVH experience in Automobile industry.
  • Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Master Degree.
