The Role: 
An exciting opportunity has opened to join our highly successful software development team as a Control Systems Engineer, focused on the development of AWD & Torque Vectoring solutions for our automotive products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of embedded control algorithms, diagnostics and base controller calibration. The role brings unparalleled levels of responsibility, ownership and direct involvement with our world leading products.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Model-based, auto-coded software development for prototyping and production
  • Optimise controller architecture for distributed torque management
  • Deliver high level control strategies to support SiL, HiL & DiL simulation
  • Support vehicle software testing and calibration
  • Support production ramp up and series development
  • Functional Safety process delivery relevant to implementation ASIL level
  • External supplier management.
  • Development, Series & Production concern support

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Good vehicle dynamics knowledge
  • AWD wheel torque management, preferably for hybrid or electric application
  • Software requirements capture and detailed software design
  • Model-based control software development and verification
  • AUTOSAR software components generation and integration
  • Verification testing in MIL, SIL and HIL environments, and in-vehicle integration
  • Diagnostic protocol implementation
  • Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • AWD Torque Vectoring
  • Bosch ESP (VDC/TCS)
  • Automotive software standards and assessment methodologies, e.g. ISO 26262, ASPICE
  • Automotive HEV or BEV experience
  • Automotive Transmissions
  • Vehicle-based software calibration
  • Advanced driving skills
